2018 Toy Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Fourth Annual Toy Drive this year! We collected toys for the Connecticut National Guard’s Operation E.L.F., who will distribute toys to families whose loved ones are deployed, preparing to deploy within the next six months, or recently returned from deployment.

Once again we collected over 100 toys! Your response and generosity amazed us once again!

2018 Turkey Collection

The entire First Financial Associates family returned to Foodshare this year and staffed the turkey collections station in Bloomfield. This was our second time participating in this worthy cause, and just like last time we met some great people who are working hard to fight hunger in Hartford and Tolland counties. Foodshare was able to reach their goal of 15,621 turkeys to help families that Thanksgiving, but hunger is a year-round problem and they can always use your help!

2017 Toy Drive

For our third annual Toy Drive, we decided to again support the Connecticut National Guard and their Operation E.L.F (Embracing Lonely Families). Operation E.L.F. serves as an annual assistance and gift drive to assist the Connecticut Service Member and Family Support Center to support military families during times of need. We collected over 100 toys this year! Thank you to all of our clients who generously donated to such a worthy cause!

2016 Easter Collection

Our staff bought toys, crafts, and candy to make Easter baskets for children at a local women’s shelter. We had a lot of fun putting the baskets together!

2015 Toy Drive

Thank you to everyone in the First Financial Associates family who donated toys or money to our first annual toy drive! We are blessed to have such kind, generous, and thoughtful people in our lives and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our toy box was overflowing with approximately 70 toys and games, plus financial donations. We also had several clients send on their best wishes and to let us know that they had made donations at other locations. All donations were given to We are the Children, a 100% volunteer organization with all goods and services donated to local communities.

2015 Turkey Collection

The entire First Financial Associates family staffed the turkey collections station at Foodshare headquarters in Bloomfield. Everyone had a blast (the Foodshare staff even provided hats for Jeff and Devin!) and we met some great people who are working hard to fight hunger in Hartford and Tolland counties. Foodshare was able to reach their goal of 16,188 turkeys to help families that Thanksgiving, but hunger is a year-round problem and they can always use your help!

2015 Fall Food Drive

Our staff challenged themselves to set aside food donations on shopping trips for six weeks.  As you can see in the picture with Lynda, we used one of our unique antique pieces as a pantry to exhibit our progress.  We were able to put together a sizable collection that we brought to the Glastonbury food bank at the Riverfront Community Center.  Thank you to everyone who participated!
